The dogs have come from under the bed, and so have we. We are back to work. I hope everyone had a nice extended holiday weekend.
Today is Venezuela Independence Day, in Caracas, Venezuela. Venezuela is marking 212 years of their declaration of independence from Spain.
We have a total of 34 guests currently at the police station.
We have created a guide for volunteers helping asylum seekers.

The costs do add up over time and as we get new asylum seekers. We start over with every new group. We make sure that there is a soft bed and a full tummy for the children and adults.
